Desert Woodcrafters

Our club is now a member of the Rosewood Club with Woodworkers Source in Tempe.  Just tell them you are a member of the Desert Woodcrafters Club and you will get a 10% discount.  They are located at 645 W. Elliot Rd in Tempe.

----------------------------------------------------The next general membership meeting of the Desert Woodcrafts Club will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday January 2 in the Cheyenne/Laredo meeting room.  This is an important meeting as the membership will vote on the officers and fee structure for 2016. All members and prospective members are encouraged to attend.

Monitors arrive at 8:00 and often no one arrives to work until 9 or later.  If no one arrives to work within 1 hour, the monitor may depart and leave sign on the door with phone number.  Please phone the monitor if you wish to work and the monitor will arrive asap.

We are also looking for someone to act as the Training Project Organizer for the club. This is an organizational position and master woodworking skills aren’t required.  We need someone to work with the membership so that we can understand what classes, trainings and demos would be of interest to them.  As we accumulate information, the organizer - with the help of the Executive Board - would identify people who could teach, train and demonstrate and then organize the sessions.  This is an opportunity to work with some truly talented people.
